Vintage Mexican Style Federico Jimenez Sterling Silver and Pearl Earrings

Vintage Mexican Style Federico Jimenez Sterling Silver and Pearl Earrings

Classic vintage, stunning sterling silver Federico Jimenez earrings that have been inspired by colonial Spanish earrings of the 17th and 18th century.

Federico Jimenez, a Mixtec Indian Mestizo from Oaxaca, has become a renown jeweler over the last 45 years. Although his interest has ranged from Indigenous costumes, jewelry, folk art and pottery - he has maintained a prolific outpouring of jewelry that nods from native to the colonial Spanish influences of Mexico. Jimenez creates his designs from a small workshop in Los Angeles while also traveling all around the country.

I have a weakness for many things, folk art, art in general, earrings, certain unusual objects but I confess that earrings are perhaps my ultimate weakness. I have been collecting earrings for over 40 years. Without fail when I wear earrings, I receive a bevy of compliments. My daughter, now 24 years of age, has started wearing my, now vintage earrings too! The tradition continues!

These very traditional sterling silver filigree earrings (with real coral) are classics! They are handmade, sturdy yet delicate and are real showstoppers! They measure 3” long and at the bow, 1” wide.

Insurance is included when shipping.

The details and craftsmanship are masterful! The filigree is perfect as are the pearls.

Measurements are 2 3/8” long from the tip of the wire to the bottom of the pearls. At its widest, it measure 1 3/8”.

Not for the timid!
