Wether outsider art or expressionistic, this is a breathtaking piece! Made of wood, painted with, I’m not sure what, a mixture of plaster of Paris and paper mache - creating a modern angel with wide stretched wings in monochromatic tones...I framed it to appear floating within the frame that has the same tonal range as the piece itself. There is a very small piece of the collage that is missing in the lower bottom right which adds to the significance of it's special history!
38 1/4 inches high x 26 3/8 inches wide, 2 1/2 inches in depth. Although the actual piece is one inch in depth and floats within the frame.
