A 19th century mixed media portrait of a very young girl and her pet puppy dog! The puppy pooch is hilarious, please look carefully - this pooch really makes me chuckle. There’s humor, naïveté, charm and whimsy galore. I suspect it was done with watercolors on paper but that’s not clear. What is clear is that it’s old, going to the first quarter of the 1800s - the empire dress kind of gives it away.

I think it’s something we need right now! Measurements are 17” in height by 14” wide. Gold wood frame is 1 1/2” in depth.
