These gold earrings are truly spectacular in a very subdued kind of way. Although I’m tempted to keep them, I never wear gold, they’re going up for sale.
They are not the usual gold hoop earrings of yesteryear. Made with definitive style yet difficult to categorize, I was told they are Persian. Originally purchased in the 1940s, and apparently old even back then, their design is unusual three linked forms somewhat like snowflakes hang from the upper circle. There’s also a half circle where the thin gold meets and locks within the half circle. There’s a small gold ring further on the gold wire which stops the earring from sliding around!
