Vintage Wood Handpainted Mexican Ferris Wheel Folk Art

145.00

This beautiful, hand painted ferris wheel was made somewhere between the 1950's and 1960's. The hand crank works well and the Ferris wheel fully rotates, although it is delicate. The two sides are painted with flowers and leaves. The bottom has considerable paint flaking which, of course, adds to its vintage charm. The seats in the ferris wheel have little male figures sitting on the seats, the figures and seats are all hand painted with the flower motif on the back of every seat.
This is a good representation of Mexican folk art and something that doesn't pop up very often.

It measures 10 1/2" in heigh by 7 1/2" in width. The depth of the wheel measures 2 1/4".Vintage from the 1960s
